10501 Gravois Rd., St. Louis, MO, 63123 / Cake artists: Julie Krovicka and Ian Greenlee / Cake sponsored by Anheuser-Busch

Grant’s Farm is known to be a place for families and for people who enjoy animals. Overall, there’s always a sense of enjoyment. Starting with the tram ride, where you’ll get a brief tour of the land plus spottings of rare animals. You will see the Busch family mansion as well as the house where Ulysses S. Grant resided between the Mexican and Civil Wars. The Tier Garden is a social gathering place along with a museum of Anheuser-Busch memorabilia. The land where Grant’s Farm sits was a gift to the 18th President and his wife from Frederick Dent (Grant’s father-in-law).

Cake placement date: April 11

Where is the cake now?: The cake sold in the biddingforgood auction for $701 on 1/1/2015.

Memories:  This was one of the cakes that was difficult for photographers to get a shot at the top of the cake, since it was on a high pedestal. Unless you had a tall device to get it, you were out of luck. When it made its public appearance at the Public Media Commons in the last week of December 2014, it was easy for people to finally get a picture of the top before it was sold to its new owner.
