Gateway Harley-Davidson (not far from Jefferson Barracks) has been family owned and operated since 2002. They describe their inventory as ‘large’, and have new and used items available. The place hosts several events (including live bands) for families and motorcycle enthusiasts. They also offer riding lessons as well and has renting services. Workshops are also held here.

Cake placement date: April 24

Where is the cake now?:  As of April 2017, it is on private property. The cake sold in the biddingforgood auction for $555 on 1/1/2015. According to an employee there, the owners of the place bought the cake; it remained on the property until 2017 (or late 2016?) when GHD had new ownership.

Notes: This cake was originally intended for Fast Eddie’s Bon Air in Alton. One piece of evidence: the painting of the Piasa Bird on the cake. They rejected it, but Gateway Harley-Davidson took it in eventually.
