5130 Wilson Avenue, St. Louis, MO, 63110 / Cake artist: Tina Henderson

‘The Hill’ is a neighborhood named after the highest point in the city of St. Louis. The Hill is known for its Italian-American population and culture, mostly immigrated from Sicily and northern Italy. Several Italian eateries, stores, etc are commonly found here. Some of them sell stuff not found anyplace else in St. Louis (olive paste, anyone?!). You’ll also see red, white and green (colors of Italy’s flag) fire hydrants all over the neighborhood. Baseball greats Yogi Berra and Joe Garagiola, Sr. grew up here.
