St. Louis is the proud home of the Missouri History Museum, located at the northern tip of Forest Park! The building its in is the first monument in the United States dedicated to Thomas Jefferson, because of his efforts of the 1804 Louisiana Purchase. It was originally named the Jefferson Memorial Building when it was built in 1903. The Missouri Historical Society, which operates the museum, was founded in 1866. The museum houses several Missouri and St. Louis-related items, and it showed a year-long exhibit of St. Louis’ first 250 years (Feb 2014 to Feb 2015). Admission to the museum is free; however, some exhibits may be extra.

Where is the cake now?:  The cake was sold in the biddingforgood auction for $1,000 (2nd highest bid!) on 1/1/2015.

Notes: Their logo for stl250 was used on all of the cakes in the front.
