200 Piasa Street, Alton, IL, 62002 / Cake artist: Renee Bearden-Williams
This is the place to get all the information you need on what to do in the city of Alton. They’ll tell you everything you need to know: where to shop, which museums/monuments to visit, where to watch eagles, etc.
Cake placement date: February 25
Where is the cake now?: The cake was removed in mid-March 2015, and it was one of three cakes (along with Piasa Bird and Alton City Hall) to be donated to the Friends of Haskell House in Alton. Unlike the other two cakes, the Alton Visitors Center one was not re-painted. These cakes are not publicly displayed, but they can be rented for private and public events.
