1801 9th Street, St. Louis, MO, 63104 / Cake artist: Linda Kurdi

The Sweet Divine was started by Jason Seibert and his wife, Jenna. Jason’s grandfather was a baker for over 40 years, and Jason was able to use his old recipes and turn them into a dream. Several types of cakes, cookies, and, well…anything that’s baked can be found here at its amazing Soulard location. They have made into a coffeehouse-type atmosphere as well, so several guests can relax and enjoy their sweets. The Sweet Divine is one of the newest places to get a cake, as it started in 2012. It originally opened in south St. Louis on Kingshighway, but because of popular demand they moved to a bigger location in Soulard the following year. The Sweet Divine gained national exposure when it was featured twice on the Food Network’s ‘Cupcake Wars’; they were declared the winner in the ‘Angry Birds’ episode.

Where is the cake now?:  The cake still sits outside the building. A fire broke out at the place during the Fall of 2016, and then it re-opened in September 2017. (October 2017)
