1050 Des Peres Road, Des Peres, MO, 63131 / Cake artist: Kathy Otto

The city of Des Peres, founded in 1934, was at one time believed to be Missouri’s first white settlement – going back to the early 1700s. Des Peres translates to ‘of the Fathers’ in French. The city got its name from the river, which crosses south St. Louis. The rivers’ tributaries, Deer Creek and Two Mile Creek, run through the city. The Lodge features a gym and many areas for recreational activities. It has a mission: to bring our community together in our facilities & parks to inspire healthy lifestyles through high-quality programs, extraordinary customer service & constant efforts of improvement. It is also for the protection of our natural, environmental, physical and natural resources.
