They say all good things must come to an end….in or out of style! The STL250 exhibit at the Missouri History Museum will be coming to an end very soon. After a year-long celebration of the city’s 250th birthday, the museum decided to host a gathering of all St. Louis, history and different enthusiasts by throwing a party during the after hours. The event was $20 and it was from 8-11pm on February 6. Each attendee was given one free beer and raffle tickets. They were encouraged to dress up in any kind of St. Louis fashion, and there was plenty of fun to be had. The exhibit was also open as some strolled through for the first, only and/or last time. A large St. Louis-themed cake was donated from McArthur’s Bakery and Cafe. A live band played, and some people danced. Games were also on hand, including washers (a St. Louis tradition!). People were also decorated many things, including mini hot-air balloons.
