This was a cake-event that is noted to be one of the last get-togethers with a cake present. That cake was the ‘Reunion/First Night cake’ that was placed at the Missouri History Museum earlier this month (January). Word was spread around the Facebook groups and some of the cakers got together for one last roundup around the cake while its still at its place! Some cake artists also showed up, including Mark Swain, Genevieve Esson and Henryk Ptasiewicz (who had a hand in decorating the cake). Several people took pictures, including many selfies!
The reunion cake along with ‘Goldie’ the miniature cake will be inside the Missouri History Museum (behind the Thomas Jefferson statue) until February 15, as part of the closing of the year-long St. Louis 250 Years exhibit. A party is planned (not by Cakelovers) on Friday, February 6, in which refreshments will be provided as part of a fee. Check out event here.
