…and more to come! That puts me about almost halfway through! My apologies for staying behind, but right now my focus is to keep this site up to speed. In the last 2 weeks, so much has changed. Obviously, the biggest one is most of the cakes are no longer at their locations. At least 80 of them were auctioned off. Some of the places moved them somewhere else in their possession. Others decided to leave theirs outside where they were all year. At least a few were personally sold to another person, perhaps a cake enthusiast.
So far I have EVERY Illinois cake with their own page, and most of those which were bid on through the Biddingforgood.com auction. I also made pages for those in which I knew did something to the cake after New Years. I don’t really have a set date when all 250+ will have their own page, but its happening soon! I’m also in the process of updating this blog, as well as the ‘Unofficial’ page. Our ultimate goal is that we hope this site gets utilized for information about the cakes. We always welcome suggestions, thoughts and any kind of information related to the cakes, so be sure to contact us, or Jason (me) at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you would like to see what cakes were up for bid and how much they sold for, check out this link: https://www.biddingforgood.com/auction/item/browse.action?auctionId=228222228 Please keep in mind that the bidding was closed right at midnight on 1/1/2015. You’ll also see in the cake pages (through ‘Cakes & their Locations’) what was being sold and how much they sold for.
I am also in the process of getting some sort of payment option on here, be it Paypal and/or credit card. Again, stay tuned!
And definitely watch our blog posts….anything can happen!
To a great new year,
